Field Form launched Flood Club to empower and support our flood-prone neighbors through actionable solutions.

What is Flood Club

Field Form has developed a set of holistic drainage mitigation strategies to complement our landscape design services for private residences. We have implemented these “drainage retrofits” on several homes in the Gowanus uplands, where they have proven highly effective at reducing on-site flooding and eliminating nearly all outflow to the sewer system. The community’s demand and enthusiasm for these types of projects is merely matched by that of our team - we’ve found ourselves doing work that is truly rewarding, reciprocal, impactful, and we think it’s worthy of a name…this is Flood Club.

A recent study by Rebuild by Design shows that the city averages a 2:1 return on investment in flooding infrastructure. Flood Club offers an opportunity to achieve a significantly greater return and at a relatively low cost. Executing this work lot by lot, and scaling it up to reach beyond the experience of individual homeowners is imperative if the Gowanus community wishes to achieve measurable and transformative success. It takes a village, so we need you, and your neighbors; and, your neighbor’s need you; your community needs you. Let’s build flood resilience together. Join the Club!
